Terms for use of the gco2 global carbon offset, "gco2" website and purchase of carbon offsets there from. 

Company 

This website and all of its contents have been produced by and are the property of gco2, registered in Ireland under Company No. 438660 with its registered office at Dublin Exchange Facility, IFSC, Dublin 1. The gco2 logo and its corporate identifiers remain the property of gco2 and may only be used under license. 

Emissions Calculations 

gco2 makes its best endeavours to base its emissions calculations on the most up to date emissions factors published by reputable sources. These emissions factors can and do change over time. If new information is published, gco2 will not assume a responsibility to alter its emissions reductions liability for calculations that it has done in the past. 

Sales 

gco2 takes no responsibility for any errors and omissions made by purchasers when entering their data into the gco2 web calculators. When a purchaser makes a payment to offset his CO2 emissions gco2 will add the CO2 emissions to its liabilities and will fund projects on the purchaser's behalf that will make a reduction in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations over time compared to a business as usual scenario. The purchaser will receive a certificate, automatically generated by email, to demonstrate that the emissions are being offset. The purchaser will not receive title to the emissions reductions achieved by any of gco2's emission reduction projects. gco2 undertakes not to sell any emissions reductions to more than one party. 

Refunds 

If, for any reason, the purchaser would like to cancel their carbon offset transaction, gco2 will refund the full cost of the carbon offset provided notification is received within 7 days of certificate issuance. Customer's statutory rights are not affected by the returns policy.

Data Protection 

gco2 is committed to retaining the confidentiality of its customers and will not pass personal data on to any third party. However, in the event of websites being co-branded with a partner organisation we may in some circumstances be required to share information on the identity of parties making a purchase with the partner organisation. If this is the case, you will be asked separately whether you wish to receive further communications from that partner.

Law 

Any purchase on this site will be covered by the laws of The Republic of Ireland.
