About gco2
gco2 is a wholly-owned Irish company, based in Dublin.
Our mandate is to provide our customers, both individuals and companies, with the most practical and affordable methods to combat Climate Change.
gco2’s 4-stage approach to combatting Climate Change is Inform, Measure, Reduce & Offset. This approach coupled with our Joint Venture relationship with FCStone Carbon LLC (FCO2) helps us achieve a new level of quality and competitive pricing in the voluntary carbon offsetting market.
All gco2 projects strictly adhere to our benchmarks of Carbon Measurability, Independent Verification & Additionality, ensuring that for every tonne of carbon offset by our customers, a tonne of carbon is actually reduced. All our projects are certified by at least one of the following accreditation mechanisms (CDM, VCS, GS), and the carbon credits generated are retired (i.e. decommissioned) to ensure no double counting occurs.
The gco2 team have been actively involved in the international carbon markets since 2005 and having consulted on carbon offsetting project funding worldwide, we welcome the oppertunity to guide both individuals and companies through carbon management, carbon reduction and carbon offsetting.
